Lukas J. Tan – Digital Advocate & Technopreneur
Lukas J. Tan, founder of OPERION, is a seasoned technopreneur and passionate advocate for digital transformation in Malaysia. Starting his tech journey at age 10, Lukas holds a degree in Information Systems Engineering from TARUMT and believes in Malaysia’s potential as a rising tech leader. His mission is to inspire young people from all backgrounds to pursue IT careers.
Since 2013, Lukas has delivered technopreneur talks at over 40 universities, reaching 300+ aspiring programmers. He emphasizes programming as a key future skill and previously lectured at Han Chiang College (2016–2017). In recognition of his contributions, he was appointed Panel National Industry Expert for NCS Industry Forward (2024) and joined a national workshop on advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
In 2025, Lukas appeared on TV1, RTM, and MYTV through the Waspada Penipuan Digital program, promoting digital safety. He also leads PDX2025, a flagship conference focused on empowering SMEs through AI, e-Invoicing, and access to grants.
